I saw her.
The woman in the tree.
Every where I went she kept appearing to me.
I would find her in forests and fields, along roadsides, in orchards near the oceanside and on the tallest of mountains.
Sometimes she hid just beyond the horizon of springtime holding the next generation of wild beauty woven in the nests of her arms.
Other times she stood bare in the cold winds of frozen lands stripped of every beautiful covering.
In the heat of summer her limbs hung heavy with luxurious fruit born of her being in the wonder of creation giving life and nourishment without return…
just before all was shed again from her flourishing into the next long silence of winters hush.
I love the tree woman. She whispers to me of wonder in every season of Divine turning with her resilience to be and to surrender to each new season with the ancient wisdom of sages that allows all in life to grow us ever more upward into the arms of heaven’s love.
Though we are old we are young.
